1. Ever since I listened to the lyrics…

I can’t listen to Dion and the Belmonts anymore. They tick me off just a teensy bit.

    Exhibit A: ”Runaround Sue.”

About a woman, known as Sue (excuse me, Runaround Sue). Beware! You’re in danger of falling in love with her. And she’s a tramp because she’ll date other guys when she leaves you.

    Exhibit B: “The Wanderer.”

“I’ll date multiple girls, they won’t even know my name, I’ll love ‘em and leave ‘em, and it’s okay because I’m a guy.” (I’m paraphrasing, of course.)

The actual lyrics are more irksome, but the point is *sigh.* Times weren’t always better in the past.

Goodnight, universe. I leave you with a choral piece.

“O Nata Lux,” written and composed by Morten Lauridsen, sung by the Los Angeles Master Chorale, conducted by Paul Salamunovich.

    Until - Sting.

“If I caught the world in a bottle and everything was still beneath the moon, without your love, would it shine for me? If I was smart as Aristotle and understood the rings around the moon, what would it all matter if you loved me?”

It’s your ability to manipulate emotional impact as it relates to sound that will make you a great artist, producer, or mixer.

Life, I like how you make up for things.

The Bad: I had to turn down the internship.

The Good: My ensemble director picked one of MY SONGS to be played in the folk ensemble!!!!!!!  Y’all have no idea how cool it is for that to happen. I nearly started crying when he said he wanted my song.

You have redeemed yourself, life. Keep it coming. (Please?)
